The Role

As a Lead Web Developer, you’ll be a member of our Development team and will work closely with Gray Wolf leadership and our Sales team to create and deploy our systems and protocols. We are looking for someone who is passionate about creating beautiful user experiences and who wants a hand at the wheel working at a company they can grow and earn significant equity with. This position will have a healthy balance of coding and design work and will enable whoever fills it to design and code to their heart's content

Salary: 80k - 100k starting salary CAD

Location: Can be remote, but applicants must be Canadian residents due to restrictions imposed by funding-related terms and conditions.

What You Will Do

Work with the product owner and technical lead to translate business requirements to technical requirements, with a focus on developing low- fidelity prototypes and then transition them from high-fidelity while working with our development team.

Own the design system and component library behind our web application
Attend daily standup meetings and a weekly scrum meeting
Lots of coding, this position is for someone looking to execute themselves rather than manage a team

Essential Experience

Experience working with modern web technologies (5+ years)
Reactjs + React Hooks
CSS - essential to have
Javascript - essential to have
Typescript is nice to have

Git Knowledge or interest in crypto Experience translating user requirements and acceptance criteria into low fidelity design mockupsNice To Have Experience

Tailwind CSS
ReactQuery
Typescript
Javascript Build tools (i.e Vite, Snowpack etc). Having an understanding of how the code you write in your IDE differs from the code the browser interprets is essential

What we value

Previous experience building and maintaining production web applications
Deep understanding of web architecture, development, and standards. This includes a thorough understanding of the entire web stack: HTTP, cookies, caching and optimization, etc.

Ability to collaborate and empathize with a variety of individuals. You can iterate with users and non-technical stakeholders and understand how your technical decisions impact them.
